Claudia is a former elementary school teacher from populous Cali, Colombia. She has served ¡HICA! clients in Birmingham area courts since 2005. A former elementary school teacher with a passion for teaching kids about environmental conservation and caring for animals, Claudia was shocked and fearful the first time her native Alabamian husband arose one morning in the pre-dawn darkness, donning camouflage and packing a gun for what she soon realized was his first post-wedding hunting trip. (Claudia does not permit her husband to mount his “trophies” in their home.) In her former life, Claudia also studied music and was the lead singer in a salsa band. Her spare time activities include cooking traditional Colombian food, singing loudly in the car and enjoying life with her family and various other critters in rural western Alabama.
