Services
AA is a support group for men, women and young adults with the purpose of helping individuals abstain from alcohol and drug use. These meetings are anonymous. No one is allowed to share outside the group what they have heard during the sessions.
HICA! offers individual and family counseling to Latino women ages 12 and up.Service fees are based on a sliding scale.
This service helps victims of domestic violence develop safety plans, file police reports,understand the court process and contact legal services.
Through educational workshops and community meetings, we teach the immigrant community about their new home.
The hotline gives inmigrants victims of crime easy access 24 hours seven day a week to information and services at any time of the day or nignt. The hotline is geared primarily to victims of family violence, sexual assault and rape.
Our ESOL program offers English classes for adults 18 years and older from any language background. Classes are at the basic and intermediate proficiency levels and are taught by a master's level instructor.Groups meet four days per week, two hours per day during fifteen- week sessions and are offered both mornings and evenings. During the morning classes, HICA provides babysitting at not extra cost to learners.

This is the cornestone of HICA's programs. immigrants contact us to find out a wide variesty of information on many topics. HICA also helps filling out applications or contact other agencies and publishes a free spanish language resource guide calles Bienvenidos a Birmingham.
